Paul Hellyer was the Minister of Transport in Prime Minister Trudeau’s cabinet in 1969. He resigned later in 1969 over his report that McLuhan criticized in a letter to Trudeau. In 2005 Hellyer announced he believed in the existence of UFOs. This caused quite a media stir since not many senior politicians around the world had ever made such a public confession.
