iON: Babylon is a construct – anything Babylonian means outside of its own power. They said that all of the power was in Babylon – Babylon was where all the other Gods hung out. Laymen saw Babylon as everything untrue godly. Baal, the God, would have lived in Babylon or Babylonian.
