This past week I was looking into the fate of Herbert W. Armstrong’s WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD (1934 to 1986).
Armstrong had died on Jan.16/86 and his Church broke up into factional sects.
Joseph Beuys died a week later on Jan.23/86.
L. Ron Hubbard also died a week later on Jan.24/86.
Jiddu Krishnamurti died a month later on Feb.17/86.
All four men extended esoteric “spiritual” movements of the 19th Century into what became known as the “New Age” movement of the second half of the 20th Century.
THEN, in the middle of my research, Chad informs me of this quotation from iON:
